Introduction
James: Rumbly Tumbly
Freeman: Tumor-like growth
Cam Nickname: Anguish for Supper
Nyogoth
Appearance 1e & 2e
· (2e quote:) “Little more than a mass of intestines encircling a massive gaping maw.”
· Fanged mouth, and the tips of its coils end in toothy maws all their own.
· Body is filled with highly corrosive fluid, and it squirts through the air with convulsive movements.
· About 5 ft (1.5m) in diameter, and 260 lbs. (118kg), but known to grow much larger.
Ecology
· Scavengers of the Outer Rifts, they survive on the left over filth and body parts of both demons and Qlippoth.
· However, they relish the opportunity to consume fresh, living prey.
· Despite being a somewhat “lowly” creature, they are far from stupid and more than capable of setting up an ambush to ensure its next meal.
1e
· They can survive without food indefinitely (all outsiders could), but if they went more than 12 hours without eating they become increasingly erratic and violent.
· They would fight to the death for a meal.
· They are born from creatures absorbed by a Qlipopoth known a the Iathavos (we will cover this one’s lore later, but apparently being absorbed by this thing is one of the worst fates an explorer of the Outer Rifts can face).
· The nyogoths are born from this absorption or some such, and the squirm all along the Iathavos’ body, consuming waste matter left behind by its feeding.
